主讲人简介:

Dr. Zhaois the Huff endowed Professor of Environmental Engineering at Auburn University. He received his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Lehigh University in 1997. His research focuses on physical-chemical processes in the natural and engineered systems, catalytic degradation of persistent organic pollutants, and developing innovative nanomaterials and technologies for in situ remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater. His group has been a pioneer in developing novel stabilized nanoparticles for in situ degradation of organic pollutants and for in situ immobilization of toxic metals and radionuclides in soil and groundwater, and the technologies have been field tested worldwide. He is also a leader in developing adsorptive photocatalysts for cost-effective degradation of persistent organic pollutants. He and co-workers have published/delivered more than 170 SCI-indexed journal papers, 6 U.S. patents, one textbook, 15 book chapters, 120+ invited presentations, and260+ other publications/presentations. His work has been cited more than 8800times with an h-Index of 49.
