This program mainly introduces the basic theories and knowledge of management science (project management specifically). The students of this major are required to familiarize themselves with the development of project management in both China and foreign countries; to grasp the basic theories, methodologies, skills and techniques of modern project management; and to understand the corresponding policies and regulations of project management in China and to be familiar with the history and current status of the theories and practices of project management in both China and the rest of the world. The program aims to train the multi-skilled talents who, having the basic knowledge of administration, economics, computer science and project technologies etc., are thus capable of resolving practical problems with modern project management knowledge and technologies; who can therefore undertake sectional or whole-process project management work in the fields of domestic or foreign construction, projects, electronics, telecommunications, IT, finance, investment, manufacturing, tertiary sectors or national defense etc.; who can also carry out the related work in government organs, teaching or research institutes with the above-mentioned capacities.
