This program mainly introduces the basic theories and knowledge of modern environmental science, sustainable development strategy and environmental industry management etc. The learners are supposed to grasp the basic techniques and methods of undertaking environmental monitoring, bringing environmental pollution under control, and assessing environmental quality; and, in addition, they are required to master the basic skills to carry out environmental planning and management. They will also be informed of the relevant policies of environmental protection, rational utilization of natural resources and sustainable development etc. in China. The aim of this program is to train special talents who can cope with the planning, assessing, supervising, and managing work in the fields of sustainable development, enterprise planning management and environmental project in administrative departments, state or private enterprises; who are also competent to do teaching and research work as well.
