| With this program, students are
supposed to learn the basic theories and fundamental professional
knowledge of Economics, to grasp the basic theories and analytical
methods of Marxist Economics and Contemporary Western Economics,
to understand the operating mechanism of market economy and
to be familiar with the general and specific economic policies,
laws and regulations of the Party and Country, and with the
history and status of Economics Development in both China and
foreign countries as well. The aim of this specialty is to develop
professionals of high caliber, who have the practical operational
abilities to undertake social economic investigation and analyses
with quantity analytical methods and modern approaches, and
the ability to expand and penetrate to the fields relevant to
economics, and the capacities to cope with the economic analyses,
forecast, planning and management work in the comprehensive
economic management organizations, policy study departments,
and enterprises or government offices.
